There are a number of contractors out there who will promise you the moon…only to deliver cheese. Builder licensing has recently been mandated in the State of Georgia which will no doubt filter out a number of them. You can still, however, get stuck by a contractor with a good sales pitch and poor follow-through.
Even still, a “good” deck and “good” service isn’t “good” enough for us. We made the decision a long time ago not only to deliver acceptable work…but to go above and beyond our competitors.

Toward that end, Tailor Decks chooses to directly employ building professionals as opposed to subbing our work out. Our employees are seasoned craftsmen with a number of years in the building trade (specifically additions and decks).
Our experience has shown us that using subcontractors translates into less of an ownership into your project. And that generally means a slip in quality.
Conversely, using employees translates into reliability, consistency and ownership. And that, in turn, translates into a true realization of your vision.

Ongoing maintenance
After the last nail is hammered in, you’ll likely have a hard time getting your contractor to come out again. Unless you need another addition built, they have little time or interest in correcting a problem.
That’s not true with Tailor Decks. We understand that new building projects have a “settling in” period. We will come back and make any necessary adjustments after the project has finished. Further, we offer a maintenance program that includes treatments and cleaning for as long as you need. This ongoing maintenance is the sign of unrivaled craftsmanship.
